Cloud-to-cloud lightning, Steinenbronn, Germany

Well, it’s been quite some time since we’ve had rain here at Payne Country, and it started this morning. We’re actually quite thankful, although it’s been hard on my electronics at the office. At one point the internet was down which makes it hard to get my work done, and at another point lightning struck and killed both of the office telephones. Luckily we had one we could steal from the house.

It’s starting to settle down now, which we’re not really happy about considering we’d really like to see our pond get filled back up. Right now it’s down by about 4 feet. Beggars can’t be choosers I guess, so we’ll take what we can get. If anyone has any information about digging a well by hand that can feed a pond, we’re all ears. Just let us know.

We’ll be making another post here in the near future to show the garden progress from Sunday. Yeah, we know it’s Wednesday, but we’re a little behind.

Talk to you later!
