Well, here in Payne Country, we’ve started a new tradition. On holidays when we’re around the house we’re going to, as a family, make bread together. We’ll probably cook everything together, but this is one thing we have found we can do with relative ease, from scratch, and it turns out excellent. We did this on easter, and finished off the loaf yesterday. Tasty!!!

Here’s a gallery of our adventure. We also made honey butter, although we didn’t mix the butter ourselves, of course. We had a blast, and it turned out remarkably well in our opinions. Hopefully we’ll be able to ‘break bread’ with some other family during one of our holiday events.

Let us know what you think, or if you have any questions. We didn’t have any bread pans, so we used a larger round pan, and I think it was the right thing to do. It reminds me of the old mid-evil loaves you’re always seeing in the movies.

Talk to you later…
